05.06.2011 - Outdoordogs on the move along the Isar, we`re hiking!

A sunny Sunday morning in the Isar valley! Four human-dog teams, fresh air and good humor, the best conditions for a great day!
We started with a big hello at the dam in Icking. The circular route, which offers refreshments at the bridges fishermen restaurant, is about 11 km long and offers everything from water, forests and meadows! Just everything a "dogs heart desires. Despite 30 degrees in the shade and plenty of people walking, biking and swimming, we always found a quite spot for us and the dogs.
After a welcome break in the bridges fishermen restaurant, with a hearty meal and a (forced break) for the four-legged friends, our tour continued on the other side of the Isar back towards Icking. Always alternately through the forest and along the river. Two-and four-legged participants were glad for the possibility of entertaining refreshments once in a while !;). Water was always very welcome! ;)
You can always find small bays in the area, which are not occupied by any human soul and us and our dogs had plenty of room to swim, fetch sticks (or even dive after them) or just have a rest in the shade.
After nearly 6 hours, all concerned, well pleased and quite tired, back at the starting point. The photos should show, it was such a super day out! And we are looking forward to next time!
From now on there will be hiking trips every first Sunday of the month, with changing routes. Even Canoeing and dog travels abroad are already sheduled! Lennox is looking forward to it & I am too! o)
